What we believe

Asbury is a group of people who, while diverse in opinion and background,

are united in mission and devoted to serving our community.

We believe that God loves all people, regardless of race, background, income,

gender, sexuality or any other categories that are often used to divide us.

God's grace is freely available to all, and all are invited to fully participate in the life of God's people.

As United Methodists, we believe that Communion is vitally important to the life of the church.

We practice open communion - all are welcome to participate.

We ask only that you come looking for Jesus.

We express our love for God through active discipleship,

and we seek to live our faith in ways that create change in the world.

We believe we will grow in our own commitment to Christ by inviting others into our lives,

especially those who are isolated, marginalized, or oppressed.
